RANDOM THOUGHTS
Walter Glanville Ough - Born in Guanajuato, Mexico 1 October 1909. Died in Auckland New Zealand 21 October 2001
Walter retired to New Zealand in 1971 from Mexico and spent the rest of his life there. His legacy as a writer was mainly in the form of correspondence, much of it to keep in touch with members of his much scattered family. Most of his letters have, of course, been lost. Fortunately some letters have survived together with albums of photographs, 8 mm movie films and personal papers. Better still he took the time during his retirement to write his memoires. These he called random thoughts and are available in three sections through the links below.
The reader will discover that Walter's life was full of adventure, hard work, dedication to family and friends and eventful, unusual to say the least.
